Edging large area rugs is not a problem for our team, we can edge up to 4m x 10m in size.

Carpet Binding Options
Wool Overlocking Binding
This is a more chunky finish using a woollen yarn in a blanket stitch format and defines the border of the rug.
What we do for you as part of our professional service
- We cut or trim as required to shape or size required.
- We either match as close as possible in colour or contrast depending on your
instruction. - We provide a closely woven finish for our wool binding and only operate to on standard.
Slimline Tape Binding
With the many different carpet finishes and styles being promoted as suitable for tailored area rugs on hard floors such as concrete, tiled or wooden having a selection of edging finishes is required.
We offer:
- The 3cm wide slimline tape producing a 1.5 cm visible hem. This is recommended for the more solid or chunky loop pile or thick push pile carpets as the preferred tape edging
- We will not put the narrow tape finish on the substantial or heavy carpets
Synthetic Tape Binding by 7.5 cm
The 7.5 cm carpet binding tape produces a 3.5 cm visual edge. Also, each corner finish has folded corners for a seamless look.

Cotton Tape Binding by 12.7 cm
We also offer an option to add a Cotton Tape Binding for area rugs that cover hard flooring. This anchors the home decorations and furniture into an aesthetically pleasing room.
The 12.7 cm carpet binding tape produces a 6.cm visual edge, with the stitching exposed. We also provide folded corner finishes only and one fabric in an assortment of colours
Issues that can happen
- Because of the UV in New Zealand, this type of carpet binding can fade overtime. However, this can be avoided with proper care and maintenance.
